Dear Friend,
We are heartbroken at the loss of our friend and ally Charlie Kirk, who was taken from us in an act of violence at Utah Valley University.
Charlie devoted his life to giving young Americans a voice and advancing the principles of freedom he so deeply believed in.
His courage, passion, and leadership touched countless lives and inspired a generation. He will be remembered as a tireless advocate who gave everything he had to the cause he loved and the young people he mentored.
Our prayers are with Charlie’s family, his loved ones, and the entire Turning Point USA team during this time of unimaginable sorrow. We grieve with them, and we ask all who believe in the promise of America to lift them up in prayer.
No student, speaker, or guest should ever face violence on a campus, or anywhere in our country. What happened is heartbreaking and wrong, and it should never happen again.
In this moment, it is natural to feel anger. But the best way to honor Charlie is to follow his example — to reject violence, to take the high road, and to redouble our commitment to solving differences through open dialogue and peaceful discourse. That is the legacy Charlie lived out, and it is the one we will carry forward.
Charlie’s legacy will live on in the countless lives he shaped and in the movement he helped build. May his life inspire all of us to continue building a future where ideas are shared openly and where every voice can be heard without fear.
For liberty,
Jeff
